Terms of service

Who we are
Clarc is operated by Clarc Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17381847, with its registered office at Office 3e.04, The Barley Mow Centre, 10 Barley Mow Passage, London W4 4PH. These terms apply to your use of the Clarc application and any report produced with it.
The service
Clarc helps you produce property inventory reports: you capture photographs and notes during an inspection, Clarc drafts the report, and you review, edit and approve it. The person conducting the inspection remains responsible for the accuracy of the final report.
Your account
Keep your login details safe: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
Your content
You confirm you have the right to photograph and record at the properties you inspect and to upload that material to Clarc. You keep ownership of your content; you give us the licence needed to store and process it to provide the service, as described in our privacy notice.
The report
Reports describe the visible condition of the property at the time of the inspection, based on the photographs and notes provided. A report is not a building survey, valuation or safety certificate, and it does not cover anything that was not accessible or visible at the inspection.
The sample report
If we produce a first inventory for you, reading the finished report costs nothing. Keeping it and using it on a tenancy is a one-off payment of £9.99, arranged with you directly. It is a single purchase rather than a subscription, and it does not commit you to anything further.
Because the report is prepared for your particular property and supplied to you as a finished document, that payment is not refundable once you have asked us to supply it. This does not affect your position if the report is faulty or not as described, or any rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.
Liability
We provide Clarc with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete capture at the inspection, from decisions made on the basis of a report the clerk has approved, or for indirect losses such as lost profit.
Our total liability to you in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Availability and changes
Clarc is under active development. We may change or withdraw features, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the service.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Clarc at any time and ask us to delete your account and data (see the privacy notice for how deletion and retention work). We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or use the service unlawfully.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions about these terms: hello@clarc.co.uk. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
